Walking Through Doorways Makes You Forget

Have you ever got up to do something, entered a room and forgotten exactly what it was you were doing?

According to scientists, this is not just popular but a direct result of something referred to as “location-updating effect”. Whenever you walk in to a new room your brain will basically refresh in to take in your new location and surroundings, making you more prone to forget what it was you were doing when you came in.

Called “location-updating effect,” the phenomenon also causes people transitioning between rooms (even virtual ones) to take additional time while attempting to recall items from memory.

Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based upon our perceptions. What we perceive depends upon what we look for. What we look for depends upon what we think. What we think depends upon what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true. What we take to be true is our reality.
